Note:
A "spot drawing" is a small, simple, stand-alone drawing that usually focuses on a single subject or concept. This dual exhibition includes a collection of 28 spot drawings that speak to the artist’s talent and passion for drawing. Whether it was a gesture, a slight motion, or an unusual posture, Wilson’s keen ability to translate that observation to paper is demonstrated by these small 3 x 5 inch included in this show. The artist frequently carried small pieces of paper in preparation for the moment when something caught his eye. A sheet with images of all 28 spot drawings is available upon request.
